We manage assets for clients globally, including corporate and public pension plans, foundations, endowments, and sovereign funds. Quantitative Developer Ideal candidates will be talented software developers with a strong interest in quantitative investment. Undergraduate and/or graduate coursework in computer science is desired. Coursework in statistics, mathematics, and/or finance is helpful. An interest in working with statistical models and numerical programming is essential. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining the financial models and other software components of the investment process. A successful candidate will join a small team of quantitative analysts and developers responsible for model and process changes. A person in this role will frequently interact with researchers and portfolio managers to define and review model improvements. Duties and Responsibilities Implement and maintain financial models, simulators, reports, and other investment tools Adapt research prototypes of models to a production environment, applying coding standards and best practices Develop and streamline automated processes to support the quantitative investment process Work with analysts and the investment team to diagnose and resolve production issues Desired Education / Skills Proven experience in software development and an affinity for good software design is essential Experience working with statistical models and data-intensive projects is helpful Fluency in SAS is ideal; otherwise, an aptitude for learning programming languages is important Proficiency in any of SQL, Perl, Python, Java, or similar languages is beneficial Experience in the Unix/Linux environment will be helpful. Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical, production environment.
