MODEL 9145EMP

Multi-Port Gigabit Network Interface Device (NID)

As the demand for Carrier Ethernet services continues to grow, Service Providers need to activate services quickly and cost-effectively, while attempting to adapt to everevolving requirements for end-to-end service monitoring and management. A media converter at the Service Provider demarcation point simply will not perform. The UNI demands an intelligent demarcation device that is capable of enforcing and monitoring the attributes of the end-to-end service, which can be remotely upgraded to accommodate future service and OAM requirements. Canoga Perkins 9145EMP Multi-Port Network Interface Device (NID), equipped with 4 User Ports and 2 Network Ports, provides the comprehensive set of features needed for Metro Ethernet Services while being exceptionally easy to deploy and manage. The industry leading 9145E NID Family supports Metro Ethernet Services Subscriber and Network interfaces that range from 10 Mbps to 10Gbps and include GR-3108 Hardened models. The entire family supports a common set of features and functions, enabled by a scalable network processor architecture. The 9145EMP shares all of these advantages of the NIDs within this family. With the 9145EMP, specific local loop and customer termination issues are quickly identified, so personnel can be dispatched to correct specific issues, not just troubleshoot, increasing service availability and reducing OPEX. VLAN Service Multiplexing interleaves Subscriber traffic onto the Network Ports. Subscriber Traffic is entering each port is classified, queued, S-Tagged and scheduled transmission out the Network Port for transport. This allows Service Providers to simplify provisioning and configuration, leading to quicker installation and troubleshooting with fewer mistakes. The 9145EMPs advanced feature set has the power for todays and tomorrows most demanding and sophisticated services - including per EVC traffic stats, Service Availability Monitoring, Performance Measuring, OAM, CFM and Packet filtering. Future features are added with a simple software update. Certified to NEBS Level 3, it is ready for Customer Premises, Central Office and POP Site deployments.
