Hard Wave Skates 1911 Manchester Ave. Middleton, OH, 45042 Dear Powell-Peralta Dealer:
As the Powell-Peralta dealer network expands, we realize the importance for better and more direct communication with you. The enclosed dealer binder is just the first step in improving our relationship. Seasonally, we will be direct mailing you inserts for your binder made up of sales, purchasing, promotional and just straight skate info. We hope this will be helpful and are certainly open to any suggestions you may have. In recent months, we have been busy improving and updating our product line. Most notably, we are introducing the return of our 7-ply maple decks! C~rrently, our decks are being offered in both 7-ply and boneite, all with the deeper concave and higher kicktail construction. Among the new deck graphics we're introducing are ...our latest pro model--the Mike Vallely signature deck, the new Lance Mountain street model, and two new generic decks--the Bug and the Butterfly. In addition to OUT decks, we are rapidly expanding and improving our selection of skateboard wheels. Our newest "T-Bone" wheel is a taller, 67 x 36mm wheel available in 95A, 97A and 98A durometers. The new shape and multi-colored g~aphics on the side of the wheel will make the T-Bone the most popular wheel yet! All of our products, including the most recent additions to our product line, will be available to you from your distributor. Our product line for Fall reflects exciting new changes in our men's and youth clothing. Ask your distributor about our new designs for T-shirts, sweatpants, and our latest sweatshirts with great new sleeve graphics! To help avoid facing a back order situation, may we suggest that you begin formulating orders for back-to-school and for Christmas to ensure having a full stock in your store during these busy times. We have included two planning worksheets and would appreciate it if you would fill them out and return them to your distributor immediately. Please accept and enjoy the enclosed exclusive Powell-Peralta Quartermaster T-shirt. We are looking forward to our future correspondence with you. Sincerely,
~/Y~

HAWK
The HAWK mini-model is a slightly smaller version of Tony's original deck. Tony's abilities are legendary amongst vertical skaters. With more vertical victories and with more innovative vertical manuevers to his credit, Tony continues to astound skaters and audiences around the world. The HAWK mini-model offers younger skaters the opportunity to benefit from Tony's design. Originally developed as a vertical ramp board, this "mini" provides maximum results everywhere --streets, mini-ramps and half-pipes!

:rmTony Hawk's legendary stature amongst ramp skaters continues to grow with this, his newest full-sized deck design. Longer. Wider. The largest deck we manufacture. With a full-formed five inch nose, this deck is designed for the serious vertical ramp rider. This new shape, combined with its newly designed Black Forest-inspired graphics, offers an entirely different vehicle for vertical investigations. Look for Tony to be riding his new machine above the coping wherever vertical performances are required!

Lance Mountain's new STREET model emerges from his heraldic past. Born in the lanes, paths and roadways of the hills of Scotland comes this hottest new Mountain design. This updated version of the Mountain family crest graces a new tighter street design. A bit shorter and narrower than his full-sized model, this deck allows for greater flexibility on today's modern thoroughfares. The 4" nose on the shorter overall length (30") gives the full-sized skater gyro-like capabilities, while it becomes the 'ripping rad' deck for the younger skater.

This humble arachnid is ready to roll. Slithering and scurrying around the local neighborhood, this full-sized deck is designed for easy riding. Fully supported by its contingency of army ants, our favorite little roach looks forward to 'bugging' streets and sidewalks. Yet because of its full dimensions, the ROACH can ride ramps as easily as the next guy!

Lance is truly a modern day professional skater. A pioneer of the sport. Always ready with the newest maneuver. Famous for his Sad Plants. Or Lez-Twists. Perhaps more famous for his personality and character that emerges through his skating. A true humorist. He is also being recognized for his unique ramp designs and constructions. His own Alhambra, California, backyard ramp is recognized as the first real contemporary ramp of the 80's. His designs are also being used around the world for contests, in skateparks and selected backyards. As he says, "Skating has sent me everywhere but Africa." A skater since he was 10 years old, Lance has been a pro for the past six years.

When he moved to Florida at the age of ten, Mike began skating with friends at several different skateparks which helped him to develop an extraordinary 'backyard-pool' ability. McGill has become the master of the transition--that horizontal to vertical interface surface. Plus, in 1984, while directing a skate camp in Sweden, he developed THE trick ofthe decade--The McTwist-- 540 degrees of ollified rotational twist above the ramp. Vertical skaters now measure themselves by Mike's maneuver. McTwist or not? Skating intoaprofession, McGill nowowns two skate shops--one in California and the other in Florida to ensure that skating will be his life. World traveler and modern skate pioneer, Mike has been a member of the Bones Brigade team since 1979.

CABALlEROTm
Known by his peers as the best all-around skater in the world, Stevie changed the future of skating in 1980, with the 'Caballerial' --the 360 degree backward to forward ollied twist that introduced airborne rotational maneuvers to skating. Cab never restricts himself in his 'zen-like' spontaneous approach to skating. Utilizing his low center of gravity Steve is recognized for his adaptability. Be it pools, mini or giant ramps, or on the street, he is able to string together the most modern moves into a fluid collection of maneuvers that are truly his own. Frontside rock 'n roll slides. Frontside hand plants. Whether it's his World Record backside air of 11 feet in hometown San Jose or during his travels throughout Europe, Japan, Australia, across the United States, or grinding the curb outside his house, Steve Caballero is always at the forefront of skating.

Canadian Kevin (known as "Iceman" to SS team members because of his fluid style) began skating in 1976 and, besides skating everyday, now operates his own skatepark in Vancouver, and also directs a wholesale skate equipment distribution company. Something that started with his friends 'tic-tacking' down the street has become a life-long profession. Kevin is really a skater linking two generations via a style from the 70's combined with tricks of the 80's. Known for his triple kick flips, one-footed nose or tail spins-front or backsided, Kevin's unique style blends trick into trick, creating a fluid style that is truly his own. Kevin's young son and his wife, Audrey, accompanied him on his '87 tour of Japan. Looks like Kevin will be linking up three decades of skaters!

We know Mike is one of the premiere street skaters raging through the urban environment. "It's a jungle out there," claims Vallely (Val-uhlee), and his stare-you-down graphic lets everyone knowwho's in charge. Look for Mike in NSA contests, on the Bones Brigade Summer Tour and in the Brigade's video productions. There's a new beast loose in the jungle. Be sure to specify whether you want 7-ply construction or Mike's preferred 'Boneite'.

Will the streets ever be the same? The new Hawk Street deck is now ready for a test drive! Minimalism knows no bounds. Check out the graphics because this is a signature model. Tony designed the shape with versatility in mind and practicality underfoot. The shorter nose and slightly longer tail give it a responsiveness intended for easy maneuvering and the quick choices necessary for street and mini-ramp skating. A fresh solution for today's modern skater.

Description: This wheel works for everything! It's durable, forgiving, loveable and long lasting! With an offset bearing design this asymmetrical wheel can best be described as being "coping friendly." Even though the design is asymmetrical the wheel tread is still over the bearings allowing for narrower trucks for 10" and 10.5" decks! Also, the inside bevel cut allows it to attack and release with a vengeance! Coping, railings, curbs, benches and tables can all be approached with renewed confidence. TWO RATS! Streets.
