Objective:
The Objective of this Project is to build a home automation using cell phone and applying microcontroller to control and automate variable home appliances.
The scope of Home Automation can range from an automated lighting control, keyless entry , ceiling fans and other home appliances. The features of Home Automation can include convenience , aesthetics , and saving energy.
Technical constraints
1.)Performance: Easy to Perform 2.)Power consumption: Reduces 3.)Accuracy: It Guaranties more Accuracy
Literature Survey:
Existing System: Yes, Home Automation is already existing .Its not new to this Technology world. There are several Home Automation systems where they can be accessed by a software through cell phone , through a remote separately designed for this.
What we are proposing.? We are proposing a new Home automation System where we can control various home appliances using cell phone through voice control which is not there till present.
There are several Home Automation systems which are accessed by the use of computer. But ,here we are not going to use any computer.
And we are using through voice control . So, not anyone can access it only authorizes user can access it.
Resources and Engineering tools used: Power supply. Micro controller(8051). Sensor. Cell phone. Bluetooth. RS232 Serial communication. Language: Embedded C
Multidisciplinary tasks: Instrumentation and Control Engineering: Sensors Computational/IT: Embedded C Desktop Publications: Report
Expected Outcome: This project will show that it is possible to control home devices through cell phone by using micro-controller and through voice control.

Fapojuwo, and Robert J. Davies Abstract The design and performance evaluation of voice activated wireless home devices are presented in this paper. The speech recognizer is built using Hidden Markov Model technology and tested under various kinds of noise. An example of how the built speech recognizer is integrated with X.10 protocol based light controller is given to demonstrate the open architecture of the system. Results from testing and experimentation show that it is feasible to use voice as the unified control method to control home devices and Appliances.
