History of Maruti Suzuki


The Maruti Suzuki automobile ltd. Was acquired by Maruti Suzuki India ltd. Manufacturing Car and its parts. The company also provide sales, marketing, procurement and R&D services founded in 2005 and based in Maneser India.

The Terminator day for the company


The day of strike is 4th June 2011 Strike called off on 17th June 2011 Loss to the company 12000 cars, business loss 400 carores. During this 13 days 11 employees were sacked and later management called to take back to the organization. Reason to remove was they were calling offer people to come to strike. About 800 workers went on strike on 4th June for their demand. The demand was new union from those working in Maneser plant

Head-to-head with the company Main Reason:The formation of worker union was the reason. Reason given by the employees: 2 million workers work in 100 units overall. Those worker who produces auto parts for companies from

all over the world in modern day work in bad condition. More than 90% are in contract bases. Workers who work for 10-12 hrs job 4000-5000 per month heavy work load. We face verbal abused & beating by the supervisors and security guards.

Statement all around the world

Management do not want to have union they want to make union subservient to their interest and compel the worker to be part of union controlled by them.

Rescue by the Government

The management says that 50% of the workers on contract base in Maruti Suzuki and thus do not have right to join the union.

Thus the UPA brought up that workers (permanent or contractual) are to be given their legal dues.

Rescue by management

Maruti Suzuki found that situation where demanded for the cars was outrunning the production capacity. The problem was internal employees between one unit and another. So to understand it better to solve it out. Secondary new plant worker were compared with old plant worker so management applied they do why dont you do it. Thirdly, they applied the practice of japanese management style called t-sunami.
