LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA IN THE
PHILIPPINES
Statement of the Problem:
1. How can marijuana be legal in the Philippines?
2. What are the effects when marijuana is already legal in the
Philippines when it comes to society, economy and each
individual?
3. How can the legalization of marijuana become effective and
reliable as to Philosophical works like, Hobbess Leviathan, Self
Preservation, Social Contract Theory and Absolute Sovereign?
Significance of the Study:
This study aims to show the Legalization of Marijuana in the Philippines
through philosophical view using Hobbes Poitical Philosophy, specifically the
Absolute Sovereign in which he stated that Monarchy is the only right form of
government sure means of maintaining a civil, peaceful polity and preventing
the dissolution of society into civil war. And also in Sartres Being-for-itself
(pour-soi) wherein stated that it is proper to Man, it is a being that knows he is
conscious because he is free.

Not only that, but we aim for this study to be a help in the future when
Philippine government realized to legalize Marijuana in the country, for they
must consider a lot of process and effects including how people can be so
free to themselves since we are Democratic country and many people are
already using it even though it is not yet legal.

regarding their thoughts, ideas and inisghts about the legalization of
marijuana in the country.

We are going to include the data gathered from this research. The
answers of the respondents but we will let them not write or include their
