Toyama Eco Town Final Report

Toyama City is located on the coast of the Sea of Japan in central Japan. Since the 1960s, environmental pollution became a major problem in Toyama City. In response, Toyama City developed an environmental basic plan to make the city more environmentally friendly and focused on recycling. This led to the creation of Toyama Eco Town, which uses a zero emissions concept. Toyama Eco Town has several facilities that recycle different waste materials, including refractory fiber and plastic, wood waste, automobiles, food waste, and more. The goal is to reduce waste and increase recycling to address the shortage of waste disposal sites and meet the expected rise in demand for recycled products.
