in a film and according to George Lukas (director of the

Star Wars franchise), sound is 50% which indicates
that it makes half of the film.
Sound is included in a film to establish tone and
atmosphere and helps the audience detect the genre of
the film.
The use of sound delivers hints about what the plot
may be and the characters
The purpose of sound is also to help audience suspend
disbelief to create realism
Overall, without sound , the film would be
uninteresting.
