    Ages
    Ages can affect the response in drug, because in
    the old and the very young metabolism and
    excretion are not as efficient in comparison to
    the young healthy adult. Distribution can also be
    affected due to differences in body composition
    and the availability of plasma proteins for
    binding . At these extreme of life, drug can
    produce greater and more prolongs effects.

    Disease
    Many diseases states can cause individual
    variation in respons to drug. Any disease
    can result in alteration in pharmacokinetic
    of a drug will create these variation. Disease
    of liver and kidney, any disease can affect
    intestinal motility, mal-absorption syndrom
    and any condition that reduce plasma
    protein concentration are all implicated.
    Some disease can alter the physiologycal
    sensivity to the drug at its site of action

    Idiosincratic
    Idiosincratics reactions occur when the
    patients experiences to affect unrelated to
    the expected action of the drug. The afect
    is usually hamful and occurs in very small
    proportion of individuals. It is due to
    factor peculiar to the individual that may
    be genetic in origin, but mechanisme are
    usually poorly understood.

    Drug Interactions
    The administration of more than one product
    simultaneusly can potentially alter the action of
    any of them. These are known as drug-drug
    interactions.
    Clinically, drug interaction become important
    when drug have smal TR.
    If warfarin and aspirin used simultanously, both
    drug appear in the plasma in higher than
    expected concentration due to competition for
    plasma protein binding.

    Drug Interactions
    This will increase pharmacological activity
    of both drugs, but the action of warfarin is
    of most important.
    Drug interaction is not always adverse
    reaction. In hypertension for example, the
    additive effects of multiple drug therapi is
    often necesssary to archive a reduction in
    blood pressure.

    taste, appetite, digestion and metabolism

    accurately determine the exact effects if these
    relationships in the body

    Effect of food on drug intake


    Drug absorption : food or nutrients in the
    stomach or intestine may act to reduce the
    absorption of a drug by delaying digestion,
    binding to minerals found in the food, or
    adhering the food particles. In other cases,
    the food may promote drug absorption

    Drug excretion : can alter

    Grapefruit juice can interact with statin,
    antihistamin, blood pressure drug,birth
    control, stomach acid blockind drug, and
    cough suppressant DMP
    Grapefrudit juice contains a class of
    compounds called furanocoumarins, which
    act in the body to alter the characteristics
    of these medication

    perceptions and an inability to react
    quickly.

    drug
