    This study examined the correlation between insulin resistance, blood sugar control, and degree of liver fibrosis in 40 type 2 diabetic patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The results found: 1) There was no correlation found between insulin resistance (measured by HOMA-IR) and degree of liver fibrosis. 2) There was also no correlation between blood sugar control (measured by HbA1C) and degree of liver fibrosis. 3) The majority of patients (67.5%) had intermediate to severe liver fibrosis (F3-F4 on the NAFLD fibrosis score).

    The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between
    Insulin Resistance (HOMA-IR) and blood sugar control (HBA1C) with
    the degree of fibrosis in T2DM patients with NAFLD.
    Methods

    Cross sectional analytic study


    Patients aged 17-70 years with T2DM and Non Alcoholic
    Fatty Liver
    The degree of liver Fibrosis measured by NAFLD Fibrosis
    Score
    Inpatient DMT2, Patient with hepatitis B, hepatitis C,
    alcoholic, pregnancy are excluded from the study

    Conclusion
    In this Study, there was no correlation between insulin resistance
    (HOMA-IR) and degree of liver fibrosis in subject with T2DM
    In this study, there was no correlation between blood sugar control
    (HbA1C) and degree of liver fibrosis in subject with T2DM
