SCAR Shoe

Target Market
One of the marketing decisions made while designing
the SCAR shoes was finding a specific demographic to
market to. While Slash Industries does not market to a
specific gender or ethnicity, our product is geared
towards the 18-40 age range, as research shows that
this is the most physically active age group. This makes
the 18-40 age range most likely to purchase our
footwear, and therefore they represent the market we
are trying to target.
Shoe Design
Our shoes are manufactured to look clean, while having the comfort, support and
durability of athletic shoe. Slash Industries uses environmentally friendly options to
create a sturdy and long lasting shoe that is completely biodegradable. Our soles are
all solid white in color, and made from LACTAE HEVEA, a natural rubber made from the
extracted milk of the Hevea tree in South America. The pockets of air that make up the
microstructure of the natural rubber soles of our SCAR shoes provide excellent
comfort and shock absorbance. The quarter of our shoe is made from CLIMATEX, a
fabric that is so biodegradable that farmers can use it as mulch. The counter,
providing support on the heel of the shoe, is also made from this material, but it’s
raised slightly to accommodate extra padding. All fabrics come in stock black color
and are dyed using the same eco-friendly method that Nike uses. It’s called DYECOO,
and uses reclaimed CO₂ so that no chemicals are used, making water waste treatment
unnecessary.
The shoe on the top is the most basic model for our line of
SCAR athletic shoes. It’s a basic, classy black and white shoe
that will go with any outfit you wear.

The three shoes on the left, however, introduce our signature


red color into the mixture, producing three unique and
equally stylish shoes.
Competition
Shoe companies are growing and have a very high
demand of products. Companies such as Nike, Adidas,
and Jordan would be the main competition for our
company. These brands offer all sorts of products but
most notably athletic shoes. SCAR shoes have great
quality and comfort to suit your needs. Reliability and
price greatly favors our product than our competition.
Our shoe-making process and design makes it easy to
yield high quantities to consumers willing to purchase
them.
Features & Benefits
As previously mentioned, style is a large feature of our
shoes, in addition to great support and comfort, and the
usage of biodegradable products to manufacture them
with. The shock impact of the rubber soles and the
snug fit of the shoe help to create a very durable shoe
that’s crafted perfectly to meet the needs of long
distance runners, sports players and even the casual
gym user. It’s really affordable, so no matter your
physical prowess or finances, these shoes do a great
job of keeping you balanced and steady so that you’re
ready to tackle any obstacle with a little bit of clean
retro flair.
Advertisement
Advertising a product is essential for a company. Our company will use different
types of advertising to showcase our product and sell it to the public. SCAR shoes will
be advertised in shoe magazines such as Eastbay, Fotoshoe, and Footwear News. As
the company grows, billboards will be a big part of advertising our product.
Commercials would air before, during, and after sports games/events to attract a big
audience and on daily sports channels. Another form of advertising would stem from
our consumers putting out reviews and talking about SCAR shoes to others who are
