Pinoy is like a Machine -it needs maintenance and repair at times Pinoy Basic Needs 1. Physiological or Basic Needs -the most basic needs that are vital to survival -Maslow believed that these needs are the most instinctive needs because all needs become secondary until these needs are met
2. Safety and Security Needs
-needs that provides him a more suitable living condition and secured from the elements of internal and external environment.
-if a person does not feel safe in an environment,
they will seek to find safety before they attempt to meet any higher level needs. Pinoy Basic Needs 3. Belonging and Social Needs -needs that motivates human behavior is our need for social relatedness or love and belongingness
4. Esteem and Status Needs
-these needs are represented as one of the key stages in achieving contentedness. -it encompass confidence, strength, self-belief, personal and social acceptance, and respect from others
Esteem – is respect and admiration, typically for a person
Pinoy Basic Needs 5. Self-Actualization and Fulfillment Needs -it represents the highest-order motivations, which drive us to realize our true potential and achieve our ‘ideal self’.
-these needs are also referred to as our ‘being
needs’: these include personal and creative self- growth, which are achieved through the fulfillment of our full potential.
Pinoy needs are not simple as he is
more unclear because these needs have both body and spirit. It is so much unclear that people react to it only when their level of satisfaction is not attained. Maslow’s Priority of Needs Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a theory in psychology proposed by Abraham H. Maslow in his 1943 paper "A Theory of Human Motivation" in Psychological Review. This means that in order for motivation to occur at the next level, each level must be satisfied within the individual themselves. What Pinoy Wants - Most of Pinoy wants is the satisfaction of his material requirements in life for him to enjoy the convenience of living.
- Pinoy does not always choose the best solution to
his wants but only to point of the satisfactory level.
Wants - Are environmentally conditioned motivating forces toward a particular goal.
- Are the clues to the type of action that
is likely to take place. PINOY Motivational Factors: 1. Achievement at work at his association
2. Recognition given by the people he works or
associated with
3. Advancement at work or promotion in salary
and position
4. The nature of the work itself
5. Strong possibility for growth and
development
6. The responsibility attached to the position

Achievements – are incentives that motivate
his ego needs.
Pinoy as an individual human being is full of
hope for achievement as he grows older and matures in the organization
He works to prove himself of his capability and
capacity for excellence. PINOY Motivational Factors: 2. Recognition given by the people he works or associated with. Pinoy good works and achievements need recognition. A simple ‘ thank you’ and ‘keep it up’ will jump his ego needs and he will always be on the go. PINOY Motivational Factors: 3. Advancement at work or promotion in salary and position
Pinoy joins the organizations in the hope that he
will be promoted if he displays his good performance
He attends trainings and seminars or takes
advance studies in the hope that he will advance further. PINOY Motivational Factors: 4. The nature of the work itself
Pinoy needs challenges in the work arena.
He must be able to maximize his mental and
personal potential to enjoy the work.
Pinoy potential is limitless if given all the
opportunity to explore the work horizon with minimum of supervision. PINOY Motivational Factors: 5. Strong possibility for growth and development

work under proper direction.
He will be happy in the workplace if given a
certain amount of responsibility that he could be proud of in accomplishing the assigned task.
