Introduction
• One of the ladies who empower themselves to
develop own condition and condition of whole
village.
• She was from poor family and even cannot
fulfill their basic needs.
• For survival, she was working as a laborer on a
daily wage basis.
• Her life changed when she attended UNDP-
MEDEP.
• Through a week long training on skill
development and planning small enterprises,
she trained the village women and make them
independent.
• She leads and represents the women
entrepreneur of subscriber district as
executive member of district etc.
Highlights
• MEDEP has developed over 32000 micro
entrepreneur(68% Women, 20% Dalit, 67%
Youth) and created 37000 sustainable jobs.
• The success of MEDEP has led the government
to allocate substantial funding to the local
government bodies.
• Its new microenterprise development for
poverty allevation scheme.
• She says proudly, “I have represented my
country as a successful Nepali women
