HUMBLE

LEADERSHIP
INTRODUCTION
Many of us would probably
not have thought of ourselves
as becoming leaders over
God’s people. But God is able
to use anyone.
GOD CHOOSES LEADERS
WITH A:
• Heart that sees the
greatness of God
• Heart that sees the needs
of mankind
GOD CHOOSES:
• LEADERS WHO ARE HUMBLE
• LEADERS WHO ADMIT THAT
THEY ARE SINNERS.
• LEADERS WHO ARE WILLING TO
LEARN AND TEACHABLE
• LEADERS WHO ARE FRIENDLY
• LEADERS WHO ARE COMMITTED
• LEADERS WHO ARE ALWAYS
AVAILABLE
GOD CHOOSES:
• LEADERS WHO HAVE GREAT FAITH
• LEADERS WHO HAVE SPIRITUAL
DESIRE
• LEADERS WHO ARE QUICK TO
ACCEPT OTHERS
• LEADERS WHO ARE SOLUTION
ORIENTED
• LEADERS WHO HAVE GLOBAL
OUTLOOK
AND THESE ARE THE
CHARACTERISTICS OF
“ST. ANDREW”
LETS LOOK AT
JESUS EXAMPLE
AS A LEADER
JOLOANA
• Hinubad niya ang kanyang
pagiging Diyos at nagpakatao
at nagpapababa.
• Hinugasan niya ang mga paa ng
kanyang mga apostol
• Kahit pinahirapan pero ang
unang salita na lumabas sa
kanyang bibig ay Kapatawaran
• He is a God full of Mercy
• Though gentle but he is strong
JOLOANA
Lets take a look on
Matthew 23:1-12
Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his
disciples. The teachers of the law and the
Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So you must
be careful to do everything they tell you.
But do not do what they do, for they do
not practice what they preach. They tie
up heavy, cumbersome loads and put
them on other people’s shoulders, but they
themselves are not willing to lift a finger
to move them.
Everything they do is done for people to see.
JOLOANA
They make their phylacteries wide and the
tassels on their garments long, they love the
place of honor at banquets and the most
important seats in the synagogues, they love
to be greeted with respect in the
marketplaces and to be called “Rabbi” by
others. But you are not to be called “Rabbi”
for you have one teacher and you are all
brothers. And do not call anyone on earth
“Father” for you have one Father and he is
in heaven. Nor are you to be called
instructors for you have one instructor, the
Messiah.
The greatest among
JOLOANA you will be your
servant. For those who exalt themselves
will be humbled and those who humble
themselves will be exalted.
GOD HATES “PHARISAIC
JOLOANA LEADERSHIP”
• Leaders who said the right things but
did the wrong things
• Leaders who tell members what to
do but do not provide the necessary
help, guidance and resources with
which members can move on
• Leaders who want to look good. Or
some may try to be like someone
else, trying to imitate another
leader’s style
• Leaders who JOLOANA
promise their members
but failed.
• Leaders who are always late in the
assembly
• Leaders who do not teach, train and
guide their members
• Leaders who do not share the works
to their members. Take the loads
by himself.
• Leaders who do not involved
members in the sharing of
finances/expenses
JOLOANA

In CFC, we are called to humble

leadership. We serve rather than to
be served. No jockeying for
position and looking to be the best.

ATTITUDES THAT DISTORT GOD GIFT

AND CALL
1. PRIDE
2. INSECURITY
3. POSSESSIVENESS
4. COMPETITIVENESS
5. OVERRELIANCE ON OUR OWN
EFFORT, ABILITIES, PLANS
HUMILITY IN LEADERSHIP
JOLOANA
1. We need to have a greater simplicity of
goals. Our global evangelization is aimed
at making Jesus known
2. We need to have greater simplicity of
means. (Faith, hope and love)1 cor 13:13
3. We need to have a greater modesty
regarding the importance of our group
(household, unit, chapter etc.) or of the
movement itself(CFC) or of ourselves (our
talents, etc.). Jesus must increase, we and
our group must decrease.
CONCLUSION
JOLOANA
Always remember this my brothers and sisters “
GOD RAISES UP THE HUMBLE BUT HE CUTS DOWN
THE PROUD” Honor and respect of our members
are earned. Let us show them the right way of
serving God and let us humbly lead them towards
our Lord Jesus Christ. Be like salt, be a guiding light
to our members for them to see clearly Jesus in their
hearts and mind. Ask the Holy Spirit to remove
from you your stubborn heart, your pride, your
insecurity, your authoritative and possessive
attitude and your overreliance on yourselves and
ask Him to give you a humble heart that sees the
greatness of God and a heart that sees the needs of
mankind. Remember “ We are SERVANT LEADERS
