Agreement in Tariffs and Trade
(GATT) for a negotiation covering
trade policy issues which includes
trading system, trade in services,
intellectual property and
reformation of trade in the
sensitive sectors of agriculture
and textileS
• The Uruguay round caused the
birth of World Trade Organization
(WTO) as an international
organization
• replaced GATT is now the international
organization dealing with the rules of trade
between nations.

$19.4 trillion in 2017, and the European Union,
which produced $19.9 trillion.
• The two economies generate almost a third of
the world's gross domestic product of $127

• The agreement also supports Bahrain’s
economic and political reforms and
