This explanation text discusses the phenomenon of why summer daylight is longer than winter daylight. It explains that it is not because the Earth is closer to the Sun in summer, but rather due to the tilt of the Earth. Specifically, the tilt of the Earth determines the amount of daylight by affecting how long the Sun is above the horizon. While the Earth is actually closer to the Sun in winter, the tilt causes less sunlight to reach the northern hemisphere during winter, resulting in shorter days.

Explanation text is a text which tells
processes relating to forming of natural, social, scientific and cultural phenomena. Explanation text is to say ‘why’ and ‘how’ of the forming of the phenomena. It is oftem found in science, geography and history text books. GENERIC STRUCTURE OF EXPLANATION TEXT
General statement; stating the phenomenon
issues which are to be explained. Example : “Stating the phenomenon that is the daylight in summer is longer that in winter.”
Sequenced explanation; stating a series of
steps which explain the phenomena. Example : “ LANGUANGE FEATURE OF EXPLANATION TEXT Featuring generic participant; sun, rain, etc WHY SUMMER DAYLIGHT IS LONGER THAN WINTER DAYLIGHT In the summer, the amount of daylight that we get is more than we get in the winter. This is not because as much people think we are closer to the sun but because of the tilt of the earth.
The earth is actually closer to the sun in winter than it is
in summer but you would be forgiven for thinking that this can not be true after looking out of your window on a cold and frosty morning.
It seems strange that as the earth get closer to the sun
during its orbit then the amount of daylight that we get decrease. But that is the case. It is the tilt of the earth that determine the amount of daylight that we get and so the length of time that for us the sun is above the horizon. The process of natural flooding is preceded by rain which falls to the surface of the earth. Then the rain water is absorbed by the ground surface and flows to the lower place. Once that condition happens, evaporation and the water appear to the surface of the land. Flooding can be disastrous for humans when floods happen in an area that people live because the water carries along objects like houses, bridges, cars, furniture and even people. On the other hand, the process of non natural flooding is usually caused by bad habits of humans who don’t care about the environment, such as littering that can make water flow clogged. This makes the watter deposited in landfills which gradually becomes more common. When water reservoirs can no longer hold water discharge, the water then overflows out the land and cause flooding.
