BUILDINGS
BULLITT CENTER, SEA
This building is a true model of sustainability, which has been
named as one of the most environmentally friendly office buildings
in the world. All features and facilities are as if they are living
organisms. This building has 575 solar panels on its roof, which are
not only able to supply electricity to the building, but also to the
surrounding population, especially in the summer. This building is
designed to use zero energy, water, or waste. The architect also
added unique stairs, to see the City of Seattle from the top of the
Puget Sound area.
BOSCO VERTICALE, MILAN
This beautiful architectural work is now an icon in
Milan, Italy. Besides being beautiful, the vertical
forest in this building is home to more than 700 trees
and 90 species of plants. These plants are chosen to
produce oxygen, reduce noise pollution, and regulate
temperature.
Vancouver Convention Center West,
Vancouver
The combination of environmentally friendly technology with
its cool operation makes it different from other buildings. The
roof is a 24 thousand square meter green garden (the largest in
the US and Canada), which is planted with 400 thousand local
plants and grasses. There are four beehives, ventilation, natural
light in the building, and many other interesting things.
