communicated to His last Prophet and Messenger, Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him), through Angel Gabriel.
• For a Muslim, this is the ultimate source of authority because it’s not only
revelation or inspiration of God, it’s verbatim word or revelation of God. It

Introduction to Quran
• Muslims believe that the Quran was verbally revealed by God to
Muhammad(PBUH) through the angel Gabriel (Jibril), gradually over
a period of approximately 23 years, beginning on 22 December 609,
when Muhammad was 40 years old, and concluding in 632, the year of
his death of Muhammad(PBUH).Allah and his messenger knows all
the things. The text is also divided into 30 sections known as Parah,
All Parah have equal length. The number of Surah( Chapters) are
114, Chapter 2, which is the longest chapter, contains 286 verses,
whereas chapters 103, 108, and 110 consist of only 3 verses each. The
Qur’an contains 6236 verses in total. Out of the 114 chapters, 86 were
revealed in the 12 years that the Prophet lived in Mecca after the
revelation. The other 28 chapters were revealed in al-Madina. These
Madinite chapters include some of the longest chapters of the Qur’an.
That represent about 25% of the Qur’anic chapters.

Difference in meaning
• For Example ,Wisdom is a favor granted exclusively to believers. It
does not remain constant; it changes depending upon the strength of
personal faith. Wisdom is a divine guidance for the soul; displaying a
righteous attitude and conduct to earn the pleasure of Allah, observing
Allah’s limits, obeying the commandments of Allah, distinguishing
good from evil, conducting oneself in the best possible way, giving the
best decisions to attain the hereafter-all these become possible through
wisdom. Let’s take “wisdom” as an example. “Wisdom” is randomly
used to express intelligence, smartness etc. Yet, none of these
meanings bear any similarity whatsoever to the word´s actual meaning
in the Qur’an.
The Quran’s core Message
• The message of the Quran is to bring to our attention that we were not
created in vain, and that we will be held responsible for our conduct on
this earth. In the Quran, God indicates that He created the human to be
His trustee (Khalifah) on earth. This is actually an honor given by God
to the human being, dignity to be the trustee of God even though He
doesn’t need our worship and our obedience. It is for our own benefit.
The message of the Quran is to say or believe that guidance that is
coming from the Creator of the universe is the ultimate guidance, for
God has the ultimate wisdom, power, and knowledge. And God alone
is the ultimate authority and should be obeyed without qualification,
obedience that is based not just on fear or reward but on the love of
God.
Our Selections
• The Quran generally gives broader guidance in most aspects within
concepts, and there are some details there, but normally to the broader
guidance so as to conduct our lives according to the will of God. And
the Quran finally indicates that since a human being is a free agent, he
or she can choose to obey God or disobey, to believe or reject faith.
What is essential for Us?
• An accurate understanding of Quranic content and the meaning of
these concepts is essential. It is necessary also to know the Qur’an by
heart and to apply it to our daily life. We can not able to cover in few
days all concept but we try to understand the main concept of Quran-e-
