Tata Steel

Tata Steel has a long history of corporate social responsibility initiatives dating back over a century. As Tata Steel works to become an EVA positive company under their "Vision 2007", there is a need to balance these CSR activities with the new business goals. Past CSR efforts like developing the model city of Jamshedpur and programs for employees helped Tata Steel attract investment and gain a positive reputation. Moving forward, recommendations include reviewing CSR through both a social and business impact lens, partnering with NGOs, involving government, and focusing CSR and business innovation efforts on socio-economic problems. Proposed solutions like renewable energy installations and improved waste water management could help balance CSR activities with the goal of becoming an EVA positive
