What is a FACT?
A fact is a statement that can be proven true.

It is ALWAYS true.

Examples:

1. Cheetahs are the fastest animal.


2. China has the largest population.
3. David A. Adler is the author of the Cam Jansen
series.
Turn and Talk!
Discuss with a partner and come up with one fact. It can
be about anything, but it must be a FACT!
What is an OPINION?
An opinion is what you think or feel. It can not be proven.

Examples:

1. Fortnite is the best video game ever.


2. The NY Mets are going to do really well this
season.
3. Mysteries are the most interesting books to
read.
Turn and Talk!
Talk with a partner. Come up with one (or two!) opinions. It
can be about anything but it must be an OPINION!!
