Attractions and Theme Parks OBSERVING THE RIDE Once the loading process has been completed and the ride has started, the theme park employee must continuously observe the ride in accordance with the safety procedures stated in the manual. SAFETY – is the ultimate concern of theme park operators. THEME PARK EMPLOYEE – must be able to identify quality control issues or problems during the ride and inform the supervisor about these problems immediately for action. QUALITY CONTROL – is the activity that ensures a certain level of quality is maintained in the delivery of the service. UNUSUAL SOUND, ODOR, should be reported to the supervisor. RIDER’S UNRULY OR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR – might compromise the safety of riders and other riders. DISCOMFORT DURING THE RIDE – should also be observed. UNLOADING A RIDE: UNLOADING - refers to the act of allowing customers to disembark from the ride or vehicle. RIDE IS UNLOADED – once it is fully completed. Wait for the ride to completely STOP moving before advising customers to exit. UNLOADING PROCEDURES MUST BE CORRECTLY, SAFELY AND PROMPLY FOLLOWED in accordance with the ride manual In some theme parks, riders are advised to exit on one side, as new riders enter at the other side Riders SHOULD BE ASSISTED in removing the safety gear and restraint. UNLOADING A RIDE: Riders should be UNLOADED in a COURTEOUS and FRIENDLY fashion Those who are having difficulty standing or exiting the ride should be given ASSISTANCE. The theme park employee MUST SHOW them the EXIT GATES, as some of them might still be DIZZY and DISORIENTED after the Ride The theme park employee SHOULD THANK them for trying out the ride and tell them his/her desire to see them again on their next visit. UNLOADING A RIDE: Records and reports should be accurately COMPLETED, PROCESSED and MAINTAINED in accordance with INDUSTRY, LEGISLATIVE, and ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Daily Operations Log – record and maintain the history of the ride. Statistics such as the number of completed rides, number of riders and the number and details of quality-control issues or problems must be included. ACTIVITY:
