Introduction Of Company

• Talbros Automotive Components

Ltd., the flagship manufacturing
company of the Group was
established in the year 1956 to
manufacture Automotive & Industrial
Gaskets in collaboration with
Coopers Payen of UK.

Project Description

Gaseket
• A gasket is a mechanical seal which
fills the space between two or more
mating surfaces, generally to prevent
leakage from or into the joined
objects while under compression.
• Gaskets allow for "less-than-perfect"
mating surfaces on machine parts
where they can fill irregularities.
Gaskets are commonly produced by
cutting from sheet materials.
Process

• Received Inspection
• Blanking
• Draw
• Corrugation
Received Inspection

Received inspection
• Received inspection also known as incoming inspection,or
material inspection, validates the quality of purchased raw
materials based on set acceptance criteria. It is performed by
quality assurance personnel in the manufacturing facility to
resolve quality issues during pre-production Incoming inspection
results follow an identification tagging system to determine
required actions when an item is tagged as accepted, conditionally
accepted, or rejected..
Blanking

• Blanking is a metal fabricating process, during which a metal

work-piece is removed from the primary metal strip or sheet when
it is punched. The material that is removed is the new metal work-
piece or blank
Draw

• Drawing is a metalworking process which uses tensile forces to

stretch metal glass, or plastic. As the metal is drawn (pulled), it
stretches thinner, into a desired shape and thickness.
• Drawing is usually done at room temperature, thus classified a
cold working process, however it may be performed at elevated
temperatures to hot work large wires, rods or hollow sections in
order to reduce forces
Corrugation

• Corrugation is a mechanical operation which is done on the gasket

to make a ridge on the surface of the gasket to increase the
strenth and sealing quality of the gasket.
• These corrugated panels are made of rippled metal sheets, one of
the most commonly used panels in the industry. Corrugated sheet
metal is a tough material, light weight, weather resistant, and
practical for many different uses.
Type Of GasKet

• Steel BackBone
• Cemjo
• Rubber Moulding
Steel Backbone

Steel BackBone
• This type of gasket is made of
steel.It is basically used for
durability.Steel backbone type of
gasktes are used for the cylinder
head
Cemjo

• A composite gasket material consisting

of a metallic core perforated and
tanged and faced on each side with a
heat resistant Non Asbestos jointing.
• Double sided Cemjo is particularly
suitable for Cylinder Head Gaskets or
similar high temperature applications
up to 800°C. It also has an excellent
resistance to oil and water
Rubber Moulding

• Rubber moulding gaskets which are

specially designed to perform high
temperaturehis Rubber Gasket Mould
is extensively used for the
production of rubber gaskets.
Offered products have a unique

Non Abestos

• Excellent Heat and Pressure.

• Chemical Resistant.
• Good for use with water.
• Good for use with petrol.
• Have good resistance to natural
gases.
• Non-stick.
Conclusion

• It gives me immense pleasure to say that I have successfully completed my 4

months industrial training in Talbros Automotive Components Limited. It was a life
time experience. I learned a lot of new things and lot of ways to solve problems.
• During my industrial training, there are many changes from the point of learning
environments and discussion among colleagues.
• During my training in Talbros Automotive Components Limited I came to know about
working of different types of CNC or manually operated machines. The industrial
environment and the working culture of industry.
• I can conclude that this industry is through training I received a lot of exposure in
the automobile sectors. I would like to thank also the Talbros Automotive
Components Limited giving students to find their own experience with having
Industrial Training like this.
