• I am working under the Web Application domain. An
application domain is a mechanism (similar to process running
in an operating system) used within common language
infrastructure (CLI) to isolate executed software applications
from one another so that they do not affect each other. Each
application domain has its own virtual address space which
scopes the resources for the application domain using that
address space.
• A web application is a three layered application. Normally, the
first layer would be a web browser, the second layer would be
a content generation and third layer would be a organization
database.

Letter management system
Letter Management System is a web application for State government of
Karnataka which allows managing different types of letters.
The main aim of the letter management is to make central storage for all
letters, managing and maintaining all the letters.
The LMS application consists of the following different modules namely:

• Login module
• Register module
• View all
• Search
• Report Generation
• Edit
• Settings

MODULES SUMMARY:
• Login Module: Provides the control for authentication and
authorization.
• Register Module: Provides the access to users and admin with
consists of Inward Letter Details, Outward ministry Office
Letters, Office Letters.
• View all: Provides the access for admin to View the existing
letters.
• Search: Provides the access for admin to search the existing
letters with Specific to Pending letters, Priority (medium, High,
Low), Names ( From ,Send to) and other Letters .
• Report Generation: Provides the access for admin to generate
report based on Category (Pending Letters, Progress Letters,
General).
Introduction about the technology
Overview of java
• Java is loosely based on C++ syntax, and is meant to be Object-Oriented.
Structure of java is midway between an interpreted and a compiled
language. The Java compiler compiles Java programs into Byte Codes that
are secure and portable across different platforms. These byte codes are
essential instructions encapsulated in single type, to what is known as a
java virtual machine (JVM), which resides in standard browser. JVM
verifies these byte codes when downloaded by the browser for integrity.
JVM is available for almost all OS. JVM converts these byte codes into
machine specific instructions at runtime.
• Java is a high level, robust, secured and object-oriented programming
language.
• Platform: Any hardware or software environment in which a program
runs, is known as a platform. Since Java has its own runtime environment
(JRE) and API, it is called platform.
Features of Java:
• Java is object-oriented language and supports
encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism and dynamic
binding, but does not support multiple inheritances.
Everything in java is an object except some primitive
data types.
• Java programs once compiled can be executed on any
machine that is enabled.
• Java is distributed in its approach and used for Internet
programming.
• Java is robust, secured, high performing and dynamic in
nature.

XHTML was developed by the W3C to help web developers make the
transition from HTML to XML.

• During internship as an intern I have provided valuable
support to an organization, they have also provided me with
work experience and the beginnings of professional network
• I got the opportunity to apply knowledge gained in the
classroom to solve practical real-world problems in a
professional setting. Learnt professional behavior of the site
from observing supervisor and other employees at the site,
also ability to understands the dynamics of an organization’s
culture through observing and reflecting on how decisions are
made, how work is structured, how power is shared, how
colleagues interact, how an organization’s mission/vision are
implemented. The internship experience allows us to put his or
her technical skills to practical use in global society.
