    CHARACTER NO.1: ASTON
    • HE’S A MAN IN HIS LATE THIRTIES.
    • HE IS LIVING IN A RUN-DOWN FLAT ALONE.
    • THERE ARE BUCKETS FULL OF SCREWS, AND NAILS IN HIS HOUSE ALONG WITH A SHOPPING CART.
    • HE WAS A FORMER FACTORY WORKER BUT HAS BEEN UNEMPLOYED SINCE GOING THROUGH ELECTRO-SHOCK TREATMENT AN YEAR AGO.
    • HE BRINGS HOME DAVIES AFTER A FIGHT AT THE LOCAL BAR AND OFFERS HIM THE JOB TO BE HIS FLAT’S CARETAKER.
    • HE IS PLANNING TO BUILD A SHED IN THE BACKYARD OF HIS FLAT AND SPENDS HOURS PLANNING THE TOOLS AND MATERIAL HE’LL NEED.
    • HE NEVER SEEMS TO START DOING THE TASK AND IS UNABLE TO STAY FOCUSED ON ANY ONE TASK.
    • ASTON CONFESSES HE HAS DIFFICULTY ORDERING HIS THOUGHTS.
    CHARACTER NO.2: DAVIES
    • DAVIES IS AN OLD MAN FROM SID CUP, LONDON.
    • HE IS VERY ARGUMENTATIVE, LOUD, AND ARROGANT.
    • HE HAS A MARTYR COMPLEX.
    • HE IS INHERENTLY RACIST, AND SEES DANGER IN EVERY BROWN OR BLACK FACE.
    • HE FEELS A THREAT FROM EVERY ACCENT DIFFERENT FROM HIS OWN.
    • ASTON RESCUES HIM FROM THE FIGHT AT BAR.
    • DAVIES ADMITS THAT THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME HE HAD FIGHT WITH A FOREIGNER.
    CHARACTER NO.2: DAVIES

    • HE BELIEVES NONE OF THESE FIGHTS WERE IN ANYWAY HIS FAULT.


    • HE ALSO MAKES FUN OF ASTON FOR HIS LAZINESS IN HIS ABSENCE.
    • DAVIES IS ALWAYS WORRIED ABOUT HIS IDENTITY PAPERS, ON THE BASIS OF WHICH HE CAN ACQUIRE A
    JOB.
    CHARACTER NO.3: MICK
    • MICK IS ASTON’S YOUNGER BROTHER.
    • HE’S A MAN IN HIS LATE TWENTIES.
    • WHENEVER HE SPEAKS HE EITHER UTTERS A SINGLE LINE OR A LONG INCOHERENT SENTENCE.
    • HE TALKS OF DOZENS OF UNSEEN FRIENDS, PLACES IN LONDON, AND FINANCIAL TERMS.
    • HE TALKS WITH DAVIES ABOUT INTERIOR DECORATION.
    • MICK IS RATHER MYSTERIOUS AND COMPLEX.
    • HE DOESN’T TALKS THAT MUCH WITH HIS BROTHER BUT DEEPLY CARES ABOUT HIM.
    • HE IS AN INTELLIGENT INDIVIDUAL AND PRETTY AMBITIOUS.
