A researcher needs to review write-ups, readings and
studies related to his present study to determine the
similarities and differences of the findings between
the past and present studies.
It aims to gain insight into the aspects of the
problems that are critical and controversial.
It provides a background regarding the aspects
which have been studied and not yet studied.
The word “RELATED” means the legal bases,
literature and studies which have direct bearing or
relation to the present study.
In a research paper, thesis, dissertation and
research paper, the review of related literature is
broken down into three parts. These are: (1) related
legal bases, (2) related literature and (3) related
studies.
