    manufacture or construction of a particular product

    is a state or condition of being secured, there is
    freedom from fear, harm danger, loss, destruction or
    damages.

    The businness of providing security and protection
    to private individuals, business and enterprises, or
    government and non-government industries.

    it is the totality of utilizing available resources to

    PHYSICAL SECURITY
    is the broadest of security which is concerned with
    the physical measures adopted to prevent
    unauthorized access to equipment, facilities,
    materials, and document and to safeguard it from
    espionage, sabotage, damage and theft. It also
    encompasses protection of personnel from criminal
    act.
    PERSONNEL SECURITY
    is the sum total of procedures followed, inquiries
    conducted and criteria applied to determine the work
    suitable of a particular applicant or retention or
    transfer of a particular employee.
    DOCUMENT AND
    INFORMATION SECURITY
    this involves the protection of documents and
    classified papers from loss, access by unauthorized
    persons, damage, theft and compromise through
    disclosure.

    property rights and objects. It helps to combat the
    crime related treats that both employees and
    outsiders pose to the organization.
    PHYSICAL SECURITY
    MEASURE
    these measures consists of barriers and devices that
    would detect, impede and prevent unauthorized
    access to equipment, facilities, materials, and
    document and to safeguard them against espionage,
    sabotage, damage and theft.
    BARRIERS
    refers to any physical structire whether natural or
    manmade capable of restricting, deterring, delaying,
    or preventing illegal and unauthorized access to an
    installation.
    3 LINE OF PHYSICAL
    DEFENSE
    1. First Line of Defense- perimeter fences or
    barriers
    2. Second Line of Defense-doors, floors, windows,
    walls, roofs and grills and other entries to the
    buildings.
    3. Third Line of Defense-storage system like steel
    PROTECTIVE LIGHTING
    it is the single most cost-effective deterent to crime
    because it creates a psychological deterrent to
    intruders.
    it provides a means of continuing illumination during
    hours of darkness.

    FIRE ALARM SYSTEM
    Device installed to help detect fires or detect
    anything that causes fire such as smoke or unusual

    sounds an alarm upon the detection of smoke

    IONIZATION- feels the smoke
    PROTECTIVE LOCKS AND
    KEYS
    Lockss are considered as delaying devices which
    cannot really top a determine intruder from
    destroying the lock just to launch the attack.
    LOCKS
    a mechanical electrical, hydraulic or electronic
    device to prevent entry into a building, room,
    container or hiding place and to prevent the removal
    of items without the consent of the owner
    PADLOCK
    a portable and detachable lock having a sliding hasp
    which passes through a staple ring or the like and is
    then made fast or secured
    KEY
    Instrument for locking and unlocking
    a metal bar with notches or grooves that, when
    inserted into a lock and turned, operates the lock’s
    mechanism.
    PROTECTIVE CABINET
    The final line of defense at any facility is in high
    security storage where papers, records, plans, or
    cashable intruments, precious metals or other
    especially valuable assets are protected.
    3 KINDS OF SECURITY
    CABINET
    SAFE
    a metallic container used for the safekeeping of
    documents or small items in an office or installation.

    VAULT
    Heavily constructed fire resistant and burglar
    resistance container usually a part of the building
    structure used to keep and protect cash, documents
    and negotiable instruments.

    a vault but of bigger size to accommodate limited
    people to work on the records inside.
    The file room must have a watertight door and at

    Green Color
    is any information and materials, the unauthorized
    disclosure of it would cause exceptionally grave
    damage to nation, politically, economically and
    military operation
    SECRET
    Red Color
    is any information and material, the unauthorized
    disclosure of it would endanger national security
    cause serious injury to the intetest or prestige of the
    nation or any governmental activity or disadvantage
    to foreign nation.
    CONFIDENTIAL
    Blue Color

    is any information and material, the unauthorized


    disclosure of it would be prejudicial to the interest
    and prestige of the national or governmental activity
    or would cause administrative embarrassment or
    unwanted injury to and be of advantage to foreign
    country.
    RESTRICTED
    WHITE OR NO COLOR
    is any information and material which requires
    special protection other than those determines
    confidential, secret, and top secret.
