Gas filled detectors operates at three modes which are determined by the
voltage.
For a low voltage, only negative ions produced by the photon are collected by the
anode. The gas filled detector operating in this mode is called as Ionization
Chamber.
Current is directly proportional to the intensity of incoming radiation.
