PRESENTATION
INFLUENCE OF EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION
AND JOB SATISFACTION OF EMPLOYEE
TURNOVER AT AN ORGANIZATION
Introduction
 For an organization to achieve economic growth and competitive
advantage it is dependent on good employees (Daniels, Radebaugh &
Sullivan, 2002). Good employees have the knowledge about
processes, methods, market and resources.
 Furthermore, they have the motivation to use this knowledge to
strengthen the organization (Hausknecht, Trevor & Howard, 2009).
Employee turnover has always been one of the challenges to any
organization especially in this competitive era where employees are
believed to be competitive advantage to the organization. The main
objective of this study is to find out the relationship in between employee
motivation, job satisfaction and employee turnover.

In addition mediator effect of job satisfaction also explored in this study.


Employee motivation is subdivided in to Career Advancement, Employee
Recognition and Remuneration while job satisfaction is subdivided into
Work Environment, and Interesting Work for further analysis.
Research questions to be answered

 What are the main reasons for employee turnover?


 Has employee satisfaction influenced the staff turnover?
 Has employee motivation influenced the staff turnover?
Aim of the Research

To investigate whether employee satisfactions and motivations


have influenced the high turnover at ABCA head office
Objectives of the Primary Research

 To identify main reasons behind employees turnover


 To identify influence of employee satisfaction on staff turnover

 To identify influence of employee Motivation on staff turnover

 lower paying job roles which is mainly connected to education levels,
opportunity, financial back-ground, individual aspirations, growth and
external factors

Job Satisfaction
Robbins (2005) defines

“a collection of feelings that an individual holds towards his or her job.”

“Physiological or psychological deficiency or need that activates behavior


or a drive that is aimed at a goal or incentive”

Qualitative data were collected through in-depth semi- structured


interviews were carried out with intra-organizational leaders from
selected organizations.

 Data collection through surveying is not supported by the higher


management of organizations
 E-mail survey responds are too lack
The importance of avoiding plagiarism and academic misconduct

Citing sources allows to:


 acknowledge dependence on another person's ideas or words, and to distinguish

clearly its an own work from that of the sources
