    INCIDENT:
    The regional court in Angeles,
    Philippines has issued a 32-year
    prison term on a couple from the
    island province of Bohol for
    inappropriate sexual abuse
    and child pornography of their
    3-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old
    child who had been in their care for
    many years.
    REPUBLIC ACT No. 9775
    AN ACT DEFINING THE CRIME OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY,
    PRESCRIBING PENALTIES THEREFOR AND FOR OTHER
    PURPOSES

    Section 1. Short Title. - This Act shall be known as the "Anti-Child Pornography


    Act of 2009."

    Section 4. Unlawful or Prohibited Acts. - It shall be unlawful for any person:

    (a) To hire, employ, use, persuade, induce or coerce a child to perform in the
    creation or production of any form of child pornography;
    The crime committed was a direct violation of RA
    9775 as a 9 year old child was coerced to produce
    child pornography, which is stated as unlawful
    under Section 4.
