The Project

• Length ~ 5.0 KM.


– Location: from Keshavpura cremation ground to Kishorepura
Gate(Elevated road).

• Irregular size small drain at multiple locations. An eye sore


and health hazard for the city.

• Carries municipal sewage and storm water.

• Currently, it is in an environmentally degraded state.

Objectives

• To develop a walkway and Green belt in the periphery of Sajideda Nallah


by making it environment friendly and enhancing aesthetics of the
periphery and safely discharge of the municipal waste and storm water in
Chambal river.
The Scope

• Course correction / Strengthening


– Improvement of natural drain carrying the municipal waste and storm
water in the rocky strata, channelizing dry weather flow in a confined
channel.
• Provide Land Area Development plan along the Nallah
– Develop two land parcels of more than 25000 Sqm each for landscaping
in the proposed development for enhancing natural environment.

Basic Design Philosophy

• The dry weather flow will be segregated in the small channel located
preferably in center so that it is distanced from both the banks of the
periphery, and walkways are proposed on the both sides of the channel.
It will also improve the natural drain during monsoon.
• As per estimation of municipal waste as per actual measured by NGT
direction and storm water() discharge as well as flood discharge by
Irrigation department(), the cross section of Nallah discharge channel
has been finalised.
