ALONG PLATE
BOUNDARIES
Subduction- is the process by which a plate dives under a less dense plate.

Mantle plume- column of rising magma

Collision zone – the point where two plates meet or collide while converging
Processes and Landforms along
with CONVERGENCE OF PLATES
1.CONVERGENCE BETWEEN AN OCEANIC AND
CONTINENTAL PLATE
1. Trench – a crack between the crust

2. Earthquake – shaking of the ground

caused by lithospheric movement

3. Volcanic Island arc – group of volcanoes

4. Tsunami – the water that flips or kick

upwards to a few meters high. A Japanese
term for harbor wave.
