· The purpose of this unit of work is to
disseminate the output of your investigation in a
form of lecture/discourse. Unless disseminated,
your knowledge is nothing or dead. Hence, you
need to prepare a thought-provoking, wise-
time-spending, and hopefully, a well-talked-

VIRTUAL LECTURE/DISCOURSE/ DISCUSSION FORUM

• In preparing the content of your lecture/discourse,

you need to ensure the following: your material is
exhaustive, you have understood very well the
points of the authors that you have cited, and you
have organized well the knowledge or ideas that
you intend to disseminate. Remember, if you have
not understood very well your sources, you can
never expect your audience to understand well
your lecture. It would surely be a waste of time.
Hence, during the lecture/discourse, you need to
do it “with authority” which means you are
convinced of what you are talking about, so, you
can deliver the message with clarity and
confidence.
