.. Pressure..

.. . PRESSUR E!
Over Pressure.. could lead to:
• A state of low mood and aversion to activity, that can
affect a person's thoughts, behaviour, tendencies, feelings,
and sense of well-being.

• A depressed mood is a normal temporary reaction to life

events (and stressful factors).

• It is also a symptom of some physical diseases and a

side effect of some drugs and medical treatments...

Management of Depression
• Depressed mood may not require professional
treatment, and may be a normal temporary reaction to
life events, a symptom of some medical condition, or a
side-effect of some drugs or medical treatments.

• A prolonged depressed mood, especially in

combination with other symptoms, may lead to a
diagnosis of a psychiatric or medical condition which
may benefit from treatment.
To stay away from depression, you need:

Have you ever seen how water boils on the
stove? The steam is not very useful because it
does not have much power.
If you look at a boiler on a train engine or ship, you
can see an intense fire under the boiler. The water in
the boiler is boiling, but the steam cannot easily
escape because the steam is kept inside the boiler
and pressurized to become a source of power.
When the power of this steam is released through a
small hole, it can drive trains and ships forward with
great speed. The steam is compressed; and when this
compressed steam is released from one outlet, it
becomes a source of great power.
Whenever there is no pressure, there is no
power. Only pressure can produce power.

A life that has pressure is a life that has power. A

life without pressure is a life without power.
A man found a
cocoon of a butterfly.
He watched the
butterfly for several
hours as it struggled
to force its body
through that little
hole.
Then it stop and
appeared as if it
could go no farther.
The man decided
to help the butterfly
by snipping off the
remaining bit of the
cocoon with
scissors.

The butterfly then

emerged easily.
But it had a swollen
body and small,
wings.
The man watch the
butterfly expecting to
see its wings enlarge
and expand.
It did not happen!
The butterfly spent
the rest of its life
crawling around with
a swollen body and
shriveled wings.
It never was able to
fly.
The man did not
understand that to
get through the tiny
opening was
nature's way of
forcing fluid from
the body of the
butterfly into its
wings, so that it
would be ready for
flight once it
achieved its
freedom from the
cocoon.
..
Sometimes struggles are
exactly what we need in our
life.
If nature allowed us to go
through our life without any
obstacles, it would cripple us.
We would not be as strong as
what we could have been.
And we could never fly...
“We were excessively burdened,
beyond our power, so that we despaired even
of living; Indeed we ourselves had
the response of death in ourselves, that we
should not base our confidence on ourselves
but on God, who raises the dead.”
- Paul, the Apostle (2 Cor. 1:8-9)
Is Jesus in your boat?

“And when He stepped into the boat, His disciples followed

Him. And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, so
that the boat was covered by the waves; but He was sleeping.”

“And they came near

and roused Him,
saying,
Lord, save us; we are
perishing!”

“And He said to them,

Why are you cowardly, you of little faith?...
Matthew 8:23-26a
"….Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and
there was a great calm.”
Matthew 8:26b

Jesus said:
“Come to Me all who toil and are burdened, and I
will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
I cannot do it
I cannot be it
I cannot take it
I cannot make it
But the grace of God,
which is Christ in me,
He can do it
He can be it
He can take it
He can make it
“And He has said to me, My grace is
sufficient for you, for My power is perfected
in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
God hath not promised skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through;

God hath not promised sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.

But God hath promised strength for the day,

Rest for the labor, light for the way.
Grace for the trials, help from above,
Unfailing sympathy, undying love.
“In nothing be anxious,
but in everything, by prayer
and petition with
thanksgiving, let your
requests be made known to
God;
And the peace of God
which surpasses all
understanding, will guard
your hearts and your
thoughts in Christ Jesus.”

Phil. 4:6-7
Spiritual Breathing

By calling on the name of the Lord

to release pressure within
and breathing in comfort,
peace, joy, and strength
from Him
GRACE
God’s intention is to make us one with Him in
life and in nature to become His expression.

Grace is God’s provision in life given to us that

we may live out His purpose.

Grace is God in the Son received and enjoyed

by us as the life-giving Spirit.
GRACE

To have ‘grace in the midst of pressure’ means to

enjoy Christ as our provision and contentment
in all our situations,
in accomplishing God’s purpose.

“You therefore, my child, be empowered in the

grace which is in Christ Jesus;” 2 Timothy 2:1
