    introduction
    The paper examines how Web technology and PDM technology relate to one another, and
    proposes a PDM system framework based on Web technology. It then provides a detailed
    description of the system and introduces the system's Web environment.

    Web technology could be fully utilized to develop the Internet's and Intranet's ability to
    remove layers of physical and temporal barriers between people. And web technology is
    the process of communication between two computers

    PDM technology aims to break traditional management and company communication


    channels to increase management effectiveness and competitiveness.

    So by combing the PDM technology with Web technology easily share product
    information with suppliers and strategic partner

    Three layers build up the entire system. Which are the user level, Web server layer and support layer.

    The first layer is the user layer. it is Web browser such as IE, Fire fox, etc., It provides the user's
    interaction with the environment. Users only with a certain authority can access to the server through
    the URL address at any time and anywhere

    The second is the Web server layer. As the core function layer of PDM, it plays a connecting link role in
    the whole system, On one hand, it provides the user interface and PDM business functions to upwards

    The third layer is the system support layer, which includes heterogeneous hardware
    platforms, network protocols, operating systems and relational database systems. It provides
    data access under the network conditions and variety of necessary environments to run an
    application program.

    B. Network environment of product data management based on Web

    Product data management system based on Web provides technical support for virtual
    enterprises. Data security can be achieved by the use of firewalls, data encryption, and
    remote access security technology. Enterprise interior through the internal & internet
    connection and users in the browser by visiting the Web server can realize the management
    and query of product database.

    C. Advantages and disadvantages of product data management based on web
    Advantages

    i. Friendly user interface and easy maintenance

    ii. This web technology product data management can be running on Unix, PC and other
    different types of computers.

    iii. The system allows companies to easily share product information with suppliers and strategic
    partners, which can improve the collaboration of supply chain.

    iv. Compared with the traditional companies, dynamic alliance has greater flexibility to share the
    expertise of each company.

    ii. Problems of information transmission speed. Compared with traditional PDM, the
    web-based PDM technology displays obvious slower data transmission and image
    browsing.

    Finally this paper concluded that the main trend in the improvement of PDM is the
    combination of web technologies and PDM technology. And companies by implementing
    such a system, more across several regions can benefit from product data management
    technology, enabling contact and information sharing across businesses as well as creating
    the circumstances for the establishment of dynamic partnerships.

    Title- According to the ramifications of the entire thought of the paper the title is expressive.

    Abstract- although the authors of the paper try to comprises the entire thought of the paper in
    the abstract, so the peruse can comprehend the entire thought of the paper without perusing the
    whole bit of the paper

    Introduction -the references are not putted where those literatures are taken.

    References- The books, articles and locales used to gather data's and information's to
    direct this survey are recorded in a well way. However, there are a few references that are
    not ongoing as indicated by the time the examination has been composed.
