WHEN TO USE “OG” AND

“ANG” IN A SENTENCE
GENERAL DEFINITION
● “Ang”, “Og”, and “Ug” are Visayan case markers used to
signal a noun or a noun phrase.

● Ang-Ang is a marker used to modify a general noun at the


beginning or in between sentences.
● Ang is used to construct subject-oriented and verb-oriented
sentence pattern.
● Ang is used as a marker to a noun that is doer of an action.

GENERAL DEFINITION
● Og- It is used in a sentence as a noun modifier when the noun
functions as SOLELY to signal a noun as object or the
receiver of the action. It cannot be used as a noun modifier to
signal a noun in subject/ DOER form in the sentence.
