INTRODUCTION
• Flipkart is an Indian e-commerce company, headquartered in
Bangalore, and incorporated in Singapore as a private limited
company.
• Flipkart also owns Phone Pe, a UPI-based mobile payment service.
• As of March 2017, Flipkart held a 39.5% market share of India's e-
commerce industry.
• Flipkart operates several house brands, including Citron (home
appliances) and Digiflip (formerly for electronics and accessories). In
2017, Flipkart launched additional house brands, including Billion
(smartphones), Smartbuy (electronics accessories, effectively
replacing Digiflip),and MarQ (for large appliances).
PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION
The main aim of the company is to maximise- be the best at what we choose and care about the
most – be it impact, voice, potential ideas,influence, well being etc.
Purpose: The purpose of the company is to deliver the best imaginable value for our customers,
stakeholders and the planet!
Environment: For Flipkart the environmental elements are competitors, suppliers, gov. regulations.
Culture: Our culture is inclusive, caring and keeps innovations at the heart of it all. Flipkart’s culture is steeped
in fostering entrepreneurial traits of innovation, ownership and calculated risk-taking. Not to mention, Flipkart’s
ESOP program has given some founders the capital to fund their dreams.
Size: It affect the organizational structure of the company. Flipkart has more than 30,000+ employees.
Technology: It Is basically how Flipkart converts input into output, what kind of process they follow. Flipkart
follows mechanistic structure for their core business.
