Most of the white polyester films have a primed side to which can be applied either heat seal or inks. We
would recommend that the treated side is coated with the heat seal HS-61-095 or HS-122 and that a suitable
primer is used to aid ink adhesion. However, it is possible to use a primer to give good adhesion of the heat
seal to the polyester film. If the polyester film is to be sold in pre-cut magazines (to avoid static) the lid
should be needle embossed.
Paper/Polyester lidding
Novacote have developed a revolutionary primerless heat seal
HS-108 for the paper/polyester lidding market.
- Reduced production costs as no primer - Wide sealing profile - Good hot tack - Good PRIMER
PRINT product resistance
Dual ovenable
HS-132 heat seal is applied directly to either 23µ chemically treated polyester or 12µ
chemically treated polyester which can subsequently be laminated to 12µ polyester.

or PVC.

furniture foil coatings
Novacote manufacture a range of
varnishes for application to printed
paper which can then be laminated to
wooden boards for use in the furniture
manufacturing industry.
The varnishes have superior resistance to
marking or discolouration as well as
excellent heat resistance properties.
Novacote also manufacture varnishes
which are compliant with E1
HIGH GLOSS VARNISH
