Jesus’ Vision is

my Passion
John 10:16d “There shall be one
flock and one shepherd”
WHAT IS THE FLOCK? The “Flock is
the Church” (Acts 20:28 “So guard
yourselves and God’s people. Feed and
shepherd God’s flock—his church,
purchased with his own blood—over
which the Holy Spirit has appointed
you as leaders.”
How are we taking part?
Mat. 5:14a “You are the light
of the world”
The Church now serves like
the “Tree of Life” from the
Garden of Eden, because it
teaches about Jesus who
gives eternal life.
The Tree of Knowledge is
like the “Google” at the
present age, because it just
gives us the knowledge of
this world (good and evil),
Satan use this knowledge as a
tool to deceive people just
like in the Garden of Eden.
A. THE PRESENT FLOCKS
1. CHRIST PROTECTS THE FLOCKS UP TO
THIS DAY, HOW?

- Christ Himself appoints a

shepherd
John 10:2-3 refers to the future event where Christ
himself will appoint shepherds for His Flocks. So
how Christ is doing this? According to V7 “Very
truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.” So as
“the GATE”, all “shepherds” must go through him,
they are selected by him, anointed by him to
represent him to the FLOCK. In fact, the flock will
recognize “HIS VOICE” through the shepherd and
the flock will listen to him because they know it is
God’s voice.
The shepherd should ensure that he will keep the
“MESSAGE” pure and will not let be contaminated
by world’s “information”.
Mat 7:15 he said “They come to you in
sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are
ferocious wolves.” So, wherever the
bad shepherd is, there is always chaos
and divisions (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)!
So, all we can do is always test the
spirit (1 John 4:1)

At present times, how do we ensure that a
Shepherd is a good shepherd?

A. By Laying of Hands - 1 Timothy 5:22,

NIV: Do not be hasty in the laying on
of hands, and do not share in the sins
of others. Keep yourself pure.

At present times, how do we ensure that a
Shepherd is a good shepherd?

A. By Laying of Hands -
1 Timothy 4:14, NIV: Do not neglect
your gift, which was given you
through prophecy when the body of
elders laid their hands on you.
At present times, how do we ensure that a
Shepherd is a good shepherd?

B. Recommendations of Congregation –
Acts 16:1-2 Paul came to Derbe and then
to Lystra, where a disciple named
Timothy lived, whose mother was Jewish
and a believer but whose father was a
Greek. 2 The believers at Lystra and
Iconium spoke well of him”
At present times, how do we ensure that a
Shepherd is a good shepherd?

B. Recommendations of Congregation –
Rev. 2:2 “I know your deeds, your hard
work and your perseverance. I know that
you cannot tolerate wicked people, that
you have tested those who claim to be
apostles but are not, and have found
them false.”
1. CHRIST PROTECTS THE FLOCKS UP TO
THIS DAY, HOW?

- Christ ensures that the

Flock is well-fed.
False doctrine is good to the ears (2 Timothy
4:3-4), but it will certainly poison your mind!
False doctrine always created by bad
shepherds! Paul warned us about the
distortion of the Gospel of Christ (Gal. 1:6)
2. CHRIST HAS WARNED US ABOUT THE
FALSE FLOCK AND BAD SHEPHERD

- True flock (will only follow the

Good Shepherd)
- False flock (will not follow the
Good Shepherd, because he will not
allow them to do all they want)
2. CHRIST HAS WARNED US ABOUT THE
FALSE FLOCK AND BAD SHEPHERD

- Good Shepherd (will take good

care of the flock)
- Bad shepherd (will not take good
care of the flock, he will let the flock
to do what they want as long as he
also gets what he wants)
B. THE OLD FLOCKS
Ezekiel 34 carries an apocalyptic
message (i.e. future events) which is
related to Matthew 25:31-33 (The
Sheep and the Goats parable)
3 Main Characters:
Bad Shepherd – (V2-10)
Bad Flock - (V17-21)
Lord – The Good Shepherd (One
shepherd v23-24, work of the
shepherd v11-16)

Warning to Bad Shepherds
- will hold them accountable for my
flock. I will remove them from tending
the flock. Jesus compared them with a
thief in Jn 10:10. And they will receive
greater condemnation (James 3:1)
Characteristics of Bad
Shepherd:
– They think only of themselves, feed
themselves, no sympathy to the flock,
ruled over the flock brutally and harshly.
They feed the flock with rotten food and
they don’t search for the lost sheep.
Warning to Bad Flock
– they will be judged and perish
There are two judgments by the
Shepherd to separate the true flock:

a. Judgment between the goat and the

sheep
The goat – V18 & 19
b. Judgment between fat sheep and the
lean sheep
The fat sheep – V21
The promise of ONE
SHEPHERD AND HIS WORKS
IS TO GATHER THE
SCATTERED SHEEPS

Reflection: This is the warning for all of us: If we will
not listen to our Shepherd and we think we are sheep
but act like a goat. Because the goat has no passion
for the sheep thus no love for the Shepherd and they
are not one with the Shepherd. The Shepherd will
take them out of the sheep pen and send to eternal
punishment (Mat 25:46a “Then they will go away to
eternal punishment.”). So, we must listen to our
GOOD SHEPHERD
3. HOW TO SECURE OUR

have other sheep that are not of
this sheep pen. I must bring them
also, They too will listen to my
voice, and there shall be one
flock and one shepherd)

Loob, at ang isa nama'y Pagkakaisa”
3. HOW TO SECURE OUR PLACE IN THAT FUTURE

(Unity in Faith, Unity in Love,

Make Jesus’ vision your PASSION –
Jesus want’s that there shall be one
flock and one shepherd, it’s him.
He wants to bring all the other
sheep that are not of the sheep
pen, he wants to bring them also!
That is his vision and make it as
your passion!
- CONCLUSION:
WHAT IS THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE
TRUE FLOCK?
THE TRUE FLOCK CONTINUES CHRIST’s
WORK, THEY SEARCH AND BRING ALL
THOSE LOST SHEEP IN THIS PEN! FEED
THEM AND TAKE GOOD CARE OF
THEM!
THIS IS THE LORD PROMISED TO YOU!
THE LORD SAID IN V31 “You are my
sheep, the sheep of my pasture, and I
am your God, declares the Sovereign
Lord.’”
GOD’S PASTURE IS SORROUNDED
BY HILL OF BLESSINGS, WHERE
BLESSINGS TRULY OVERFLOWS!
(26 I will make them and the places
surrounding my hill a blessing. I
will send down showers in season;
there will be showers of blessing!)
