• Additionally, we will be using the Robotics
Toolbox for MATLAB® (RTB) by
Peter Corke
• The sequence of Matlab tutorial are based on
this toolbox

• It will be very helpful if you will be


able to download the book

Robotics Toolbox for MATLAB®
Install from shared MATLAB® Drive folder

This will work for MATLAB Online or MATLAB® Desktop provided you have 
MATLAB drive setup.

1. Click on the link below and an invitation to share will be emailed to the
address associated with your MATLAB account:

RVC 2nd edition: RTB10

2. Accept the invitation.


3. A folder named rvctools will appear in the MATLAB drive
4. Using the MATLAB file browser to navigate to the folder rvctools and
double-click the script named startup_rvc.

• Physical Modelling
• It employs a physical network approach, where Simscape™ blocks
correspond to physical elements, such as pumps, motors, and op-amps.
• ROS Toolbox
• ROS Toolbox provides an interface connecting MATLAB® and
Simulink® with the Robot Operating System (ROS and ROS 2), enabling
you to create a network of ROS nodes.
• Simscape Multibody
• Simscape™ Multibody™ provides a multibody simulation environment
for 3D mechanical systems, such as robots, vehicle suspensions,
construction equipment, and aircraft landing gear.
