This is the largest river in the Philippines
and the longest in the whole Mindanao
region. With the estimated long of 182
kilometers and 96 meters wide, this river
is crisscrossing the whole area of the city.
This river is good for water sports and
boat racing.

This festival is celebrated every


December 15-19, which is
celebrated in honor of Shariff
Mohammad Kabunsuan, an Arab
missionary from Johore who
planted the seed of Islam in Central
Mindanao. On this event, certain
presentations are performed such as
dances. There are also many
recreational activities and sports.

Tinagtag
Tinagtag is a
Maguindanaon delicacy
made of ground rice and
sugar, which is popular in
the entire stretch of what
was once known as the
Cotabato Empire, including
the towns of Pikit and
Kabacan. Its name is derived
from the word “tagtag,”
which means to tap
Kumukunsi
Kumukunsi is a
Maguindanaoan delicacy
made with rice flour,
sugar and duck eggs,
which are then deep fried
in spiral shapes until
golden brown. They taste
like pancakes but much
creamier and more
flavorful.
Bulwa
“Bulwa”, the local
version for muffins.
Made from rice
flour, eggs and
sugar, a little sweet
and nutty when
slightly toasted
Dudol
Dudol is part of the
Maguindanaon culture. It
is served during special
occasions such as
weddings and festivities in
the community. It is made
of glutinous rice and
fresh coconut milk added
with sugar. Some do add
grated young coconut.
