——What is position control mode?

The position control mode is used in precise positioning


applications. Use pulses number to determine the motor
displacement, the pulse frequency to determine the motor speed.

The servo needs to control the motor to move a fixed length for
cutting, and accurate positioning can ensure that the length of
the material is consistent

When using the position control mode, user needs to set the
position command source through the function code [P01-06].

Support internal position command:


1. VD2-xxxSA1G firmware: V1.10 and above
2. VD2F firmware: V1.00 and above

——How to set the parameters?

P00-01=1 ; control mode: position control


P00-04=0 ; rotate direction: forward rotation
P00-13=300 ; max position pulse frequency: 300KHZ
P00-14=2 ; filter level: filter time256ns
P00-16=10000 ; Number of pulses per revolution
Parameter setting
——What is the filter time?
Function: The pulses smaller than the filter time will
be filtered to improve the anti-interference ability.

0 : no filtering 5 : 2.048us
1 : 128ns 6 : 4.096us
P00-14: 2 : 256ns 7 : 8.192us
3 : 512ns 8 : 16.384us
4 : 1024ns 9 : 32.768us

——How to set filter time?
For example, the process requires the max pulse frequency of PLC is 100k, the pulse cycle
is about 1/100k=10us, and the pulse width should be 5us. In this case, p0-14 cannot be set
to exceed 6 (4.096us).

0 : no filtering 5 : 2.048us
1 : 128ns 6 : 4.096us
2 : 256ns 7 : 8.192us
3 : 512ns 8 : 16.384us
4 : 1024ns 9 : 32.768us

Note: If the filter time is set too small, it will be affected by interference, and the number
of pulses will increase, and resulting in inaccurate positioning; If the filter time is set too
large, normal pulses will be filtered out, resulting in reduced pulses, which will also lead to
inaccurate positioning.
