    What are ether and aldehyde ?

    Do you know what ether is
    ?Ether is a compound derived from alkanes with an alkoxy
    group which is a shorter alkyl than alkanes. The IUPAC
    Ether name is Alkoxy Alkane while the Trivial Ether
    Name is Alkyl Ether.
    Ether comes from Arabic (Attar)
    which means piercing smell

    General Formula
    The general formula of Ether is CnH(2n+2)O
    General structur formula of Ether is R-O-R'
    And the functional group of ether is O-R'

    Methoxy Methane Dimethyl ether CH3 - O - CH3 C2H6O

    And the functional group of aldehyde is COH
