Introduction
Project Overview:
Our team is tasked with developing an energy-efficient and long-lasting home
concept based on Passivhaus Building requirements.
Our project aims to be energy – efficient, sustainable, and healthy by using eco – friendly
materials, water – saving fixtures, and natural ventilation.
While full Living Building Challenge certification may be difficult, the design focuses on nature
connection, waste reduction, and occupant well – being, striving for net – zero energy and water usage
while creating a coastal ambiance.
Project Details:
a. Mixed density suburb (NCC Climate Zone: 7)
b. Total floor area is 170 m2
c. Project budget: $500,000
d. Orientation: small and narrow block with street to the north
