“ACROS Fukuoka Prefectural International Hall”
1 Chome-1-1 Tenjin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka, 810-0001, Japan.
https://www.acros.or.jp/

The city of Fukuoka needed a government office building, and the only available plot in the
city center was also the last green area in that zone. Ambasz addressed the need for green
spaces in the expensive urban land of Japan and provided the client with a useful urban facility
and a significant landmark for the city. To achieve this, he turned a building into a three-
dimensional park, an allegory of a wooded mountain, integrating the building into the public
space.
