Afro-Ecuadorians are the third largest group,
representing about 4.8% of the population. They
are descendants of African slaves who were also
transported across the Atlantic by Spaniards and
other Europeans.
Amerindian Montubios
They are the fourth largest group, They are a small but distinct group,
comprising about 7.7% of the constituting about 0.5% of the
