Why Do You Speak
in English?
What is Speaking?
Speaking is the delivery of language through the
mouth.
It is one of the four Communication Skills.
Speaking generally requires a speaker and a
listener.
Speech can also flow naturally from one person to
another in the form of dialogue.
Problems faced by Students in Speaking

 Solution: You must practice different topics in


different tenses.
• Lack of Confidence and Shyness in Speaking the
English Language

• No practice of speaking in front of public - lack of


confidence
• Due to Shyness - feel uncomfortable and anxious

• Solution: Teachers have to motivate the students to


be self-confident, it’s okay to feel awkward in front of
people but they should know that they can do it and
encourage them to speak the English language as
much as they can.
Fear of Making Mistakes When Speaking the English
Language

The students are afraid of making mistakes in


speaking the English language that their mates laugh
at them or look silly in front of their mates, or even
criticize them in the classroom.

Solution: Making mistakes is a normal thing. no one is


born perfect, everyone makes mistakes but they should
learn from their mistakes and overcome their mistakes
in speaking the English language.

Mother tongue for a topic, the other one will
interpret the language.

An interpreter will translate the topic in English.

1st will talk about the childhood days – Past Tense
2nd will talk about the daily routine – Present Tense
3rd will talk about the future plans after graduation
– Future Tense
Analysis of the topics based on tenses:

There can be mistakes in tense usage


Students can miss the helping verb or main verb on the
specific tense usage
There can also be incomplete sentences, short
sentences.
