Background of Halloween
• Since 2000 years ago, Halloween was a traditional event in Western countries. This
is one of the events of the Western Christian feast.
• They made that event to remember the dead, saints, hallows, and the departed.
• There is a theory that says, the Halloween traditions were influenced by Celtic
Harvest Festival.
• Halloween is celebrated on October 31st of every year. It is one of the holidays for
the Christian religion.
• Now a day, Halloween is a very popular event worldwide.
Costumes
• There are different kinds of costumes you can find on Halloween,
you will find many people wearing superheroes, vampires,
witches, zombies, skeletons, monsters, wolves, mummies and
ghosts.
• You can also see people with face arts on Halloween.
Activities
• On Halloween most children wear Halloween costumes and go say “Trick or treat!”
to their neighbors and get candies for free, you can also hang out with your friends
on Halloween, plus you can even make a party. The activities are very fun to do.
• There are common activities like pumpkin carving, watching scary movies, and
storytelling.
Decoration
• Halloween Decorations are funny and scary. You can see ghosts, skeletons, spiders,
spiderwebs, and bats. Sometimes people put spiders and spider webs on their doors.
There are carved pumpkins on the floor. There can be spider webs in their house too.
You can see funny decorations like skeletons on clothes.
Foods and Drinks
• On Halloween, You can find different foods such as candies, cookies, cupcakes,
chocolate, jelly, and drinks. Those are also decorated like eyes, finger cuts, bones,
and tongues.
