    The Quadrilateral
    A quadrilateral is a closed plane figure consisting of four
    line segments or sides. These sides may or may not be
    congruent or parallel.

    By definition, a quadrilateral is a parallelogram if it


    has two pairs of parallel sides. Also, quadrilateral is a
    parallelogram if its diagonals bisect each other, if both pairs
    of opposite angles are congruent, and if one angle is
    supplementary to both of its consecutive angles.
