Relation of archaeology with Geology

• The study of geology has been


fundamental in answering various
question in archaeology.
• Geology can be defined as the study of
solid Earth, the rocks of which it is
composed, and the process by which they
change.
• With the help of geology archaeologish
distinguinsh material like granite, and
stone, limestone etc they found under
the earth.
Relation of archaeology with environment

• The nature of past environment is a key aspect of archaeology


because human action cannot be understood in isolation from its
surrounding.
• This study help archaeologist to understand the living style of
ancient time people.
• In other words, reconstructing the past helps us understand how
people lived and survived in the past, as well as what
environmental changes might have been a major factor in their
demise.

• The study of plant is called botany.


• Archaeobotany is the study of plants
remains found in archaeological sites.

vegetable that the ancient people

• The study of animals is known as zoology

their history by studying their bones. It
informs us of their size, number, and
strength.

determining whether an animal was
employed as a mode of transportation or

• The study of human nature and behavior is called psychology.

prehistoric man.

mental capacity they have, and the kinds of social relationships
