INTRODUCTION

The idea of duty is an obligation. No matter what one's perspective, status, or skill, one has a duty to do. The

foundation that aspiring criminologists use to become closer to their goal of serving our nation is duty. When your oath is

appropriate, it entails acting independently and taking a chance in order to help and assist the populace. Duty is not something

that can be handed to anyone; rather, it is something that only those who are prepared to prove their value and honor are entitled

to. The core objective of the BJMP is to give the citizens the best possible service to the maximum extent that is humanly possible.

This experience has made me wiser and better equipped to do my national responsibility in the future..
COMPANY PROFILE

The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) exercises supervision and control over all city and municipal jail’s,

including their establishment and maintenance in every district. City and municipality for a secure, clean, adequately

equipped and sanitary jail for the custody and safe-keeping of city and municipal prisoners, any fugitive from justice or

person detained awating investigation or trial and/or transfer to the national penitentiary including violent mentally ill person

who endangers himself or the safety of others duty certified as such by the proper medical or health officer, pending transfer

to mental institution.
SUMMARY OF DUTY

Week 1, November 17 – December 6

The Internship Training and Jobs Placement Office (ITJPO) conducted an Orientation to all the Fourth

Year Graduating Students regarding the subject matter of Industry Practicum. Having an interview as the beginning

of On Job Training was the best way to prepare the Criminology Interns before they accepting in the field applying

for, like on a real life situation. After so many preparation and requirements needed. We, The interns chose the field

of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology to have trainings. Under the supervision of Jail Officer 1, JO1 JERICK

B TARGA to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology was in charged to the trainings that will happen and

tasks that he may bring to us. Though the first week of my internship is all about the orientation and introductory

trainings for any activity and proper way of searching but it was the starting point of Our knowledge through

experience.
Week 2, December 10 – December 21

Together with JO1 JERICK B TARGA and other official of BJMP conducted an THROWING of BOKSHI BALLS

& POURING of ENZYMES in Promenade Des Dasmariñas. I discovered that the BJMP is to also helping to develop the

neighbors. And I newly learned ideas and knowledges about their purposes and responsibility in this community. When it

comes to proper searching. Lastly, I learned their Daily Routines as Jail Officers.
Week 3, January 23 – February 8

We have a lot of learning experiences through the supervision of JO1 JERICK B TARGA with the help of Jail

Superintendent MARLON J YMBALLA by giving us those task and to escort when it comes to emergencies and to guide

the PLD’s in their hospital check-up. JO1 JERICK B TARGA also teaching us how to prepare the papers of the PDL/s

regarding for their court hearing. It was a privilege to encountered and Experience the Court Hearing.
Week 4, Feb 8 – February 16

I really understand what the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology mission and vision is, Even in this kind

of Filipino's Culture the Jail Officer play an important role for the safety and immediate response to the PDL,s. Together

with my OJT Trainees, While the time pass by We have cherish all the days spending time to each together especially

when We learned a lot regarding what the BJMP's true mission.
